This article explores the concept of voice in writing pedagory as discussed by
Kamler, Lensmire, Elbow. While Kamler suggests we abandon voice as a
metaphor because it is so closely fixed to the body and to the personal, making revision
difficult, Snaza argues, with the help of Hardt and Negri (200, 2004), that the body as
production sight of capitalism via communication (voice) is a necessary metaphor for
understanding a capitalistic society. in which the "biopower" controls via the brains
and bodies of its citizens.
